Discovery Scope Set 2 includes two optical devices: a microscope and a telescope. A microscope will be of great help in mastering the basics of microbiology. A telescope will be very helpful in learning the basics of astronomy. Except for optical devices, the kit includes handy accessories that you may need in order to explore the world and conduct scientific experiments. The kit is supplemented with the “Space. Non-empty emptiness’ knowledge book.


Refractor telescope on a tabletop tripod

Discovery Scope 2 Set telescope is a compact refractor on an AZ mount and with an aluminum tabletop tripod. You can place it next to the window to observe the starry sky right from home. The telescope enables you to observe the Moon, meteors showers as well as single stars.

As an entry-level model, this telescope can help you in getting an idea about the vastness of space. You will see the brightest celestial objects in the night sky! The telescope can also be used as a powerful spotting scope to observe terrestrial landscapes. The telescope comes with an extended accessory kit – you don’t need to buy anything separately. The “Space. Non-empty emptiness’ knowledge book will help you to learn more about astronomy. By reading this book, you can find answers to various novice questions on how a telescope is designed, how to make observations, and which interesting objects there are in the solar system and beyond that can be seen. The book is written in vivid language and supplemented with colorful illustrations. It is a pleasant and useful addition to a Discovery Scope 2 telescope.


Biological microscope with illumination

Discovery Scope 2 Set microscope is a classic biological microscope with lower illumination. It is suited for observing transparent specimens. It can be perfectly used with prepared slide sets widely available in stores. The microscope can be used right out of the box as the kit includes several prepared slides. The kit enables you to study thin specimen slices made on your own and observe life in a drop of water. All the tools you may need to create specimens are already included in the kit.

The optics provide three fixed magnification settings from 75x to 900x. The backlight has an integral light source with a mirror on one side and an LED on the other. The mirror can be perfectly used with an external light source, the LED can be used in a dark location. The LED is powered by standard AA batteries.
