Buteo Photo Gear Buteo Mark III Green

The Photo Hide Buteo Mark III Brown is the perfect one-person photo hide for wildlife and bird photography.
This is the successor to the Buteo Mark II, with some improvements.

Features:

  • Increased resistance to moisture from rain:
    • There is an additional "canopy" on the front that prevents water droplets from entering through the insect mesh and better protects your lens from rain, snow, hail, etc.
  • In addition to protecting against rain, this hood also functions as a sunshade, the photo window with your lens is more shaded and therefore less noticeable.
  • The hood can be folded down when it is not in use or not needed. If you are pitching the tent for a longer period of time, this is also useful as it makes your tent less noticeable and less sensitive to wind.
  • Improved roof construction that prevents water residue on the roof.
  • 8 pegs: Longer and stronger than previous versions. 18 cm long, black aluminum, triangular shape.
  • The use of (thicker) cords on all runners of the zippers and the absence of Velcro fasteners prevents annoying noises.
  • All windows can be closed with a zipper, there are no more windows where water can easily get in.All windows and insect protection nets can also be operated from the inside.
  • Ropes, storage compartments and pole pockets in the tent are kept in lighter colors so that they are clearly visible in the dark.
  • Small fiberglass poles on the inside of the roof to keep it round and allow water to run off.
  • All photo windows are much wider than before at 40x36 cm. The photo windows are also viewing windows (upper part photo window), and therefore also much wider than in the Buteo Mark II. There are therefore no longer separate, small viewing windows as in the previous version.
  • You can make the viewing window larger or smaller as required using a zipper that can be operated from 2 sides.
  • All windows can be fully closed with high-quality zippers so that they can be sealed watertight. (can be operated both from the inside and the outside).
  • No Velcro fasteners have been used, so no more annoying noises.
  • The insect screens in the windows consist of 2 parts that overlap in the middle and are fitted with an elastic band so that they securely enclose your lens.
  • These insect nets are attached to the tent fabric with a zipper so that you can open the tent completely if you wish, or if you want to use a snoot as an alternative photo window.
  • The insect screens are alternately attached vertically or horizontally.
    • The advantage of the horizontal arrangement is that it is somewhat easier to swivel to the right and left, especially for filmmakers.
    • The insect nets in the photo windows on the left and right are arranged horizontally.
