Grab your paddle and join the rafting party to discover plant and animal species living in rivers, streams and lakes from the perspective of a canoe. Keep a close eye on your surroundings and you may be able to spot fish swimming in the depths, or further afield an otter splashing in the water, or a beaver building its feeding grounds.

Meadow: With the Run of the Stream is an expansion in which we will continue our journey as nature watchers. It will allow an additional river board to be included in the game, which will provide players with more interaction and introduce an element of race. This time, it is not only the observation records that will be important in the competition, the most skilful canoeist will secure an extra advantage and come closer to winning the title of most accomplished nature observer!

What is Meadow?

It is a board game in which we take the role of wanderers observing nature. Equipped with a map, we walk through the picturesque surroundings, looking for inspiration and capturing breathtaking views. We are driven by passion and curiosity, but also by the competition for the title of the most skilful nature observer! This will be awarded to the person who scores the most points from the animal and plant species observed, landscapes and souvenirs collected from the hike. The competition also continues around the campfire, where players compete to complete the objectives of their expeditions.

What does the add-on introduce?

  • An additional river board, and with it the mechanics of canoeing. It will allow players to race and acquire new aquatic environment cards. What's more, the river board is double-sided, so during each game we can choose whether we prefer a calmer trip or a faster and more challenging adventure.
  • A set of cards with completely new plant and animal species. As in the case of the basic game, Karolina Kijak, a watercolour artist, is responsible for the graphic design, so plenty of beautiful illustrations await the players!
  • An envelope with a mini Z-additive just waiting to be discovered!
  • An index of cards which will introduce players to the animals and plants which appear in the supplement. It contains trivia and useful information to make the game not only fun, but also an educational tool!

Please note that this is not a stand-alone game!
The basic version of the game is required to play: Meadow.
