Battery grip Newell BG-D51 for Nikon

The Newell BG-D51 is a rugged, full-featured battery grip for Nikon D5100, D5200 cameras. This device provides a better grip on the camera, improves the comfort of shooting vertically and extends the operation without changing the camera batteries.

Additional power source

The handle has two main functions. One of them is to extend the life of the camera by providing an additional power source. The battery pack can hold an extra EN-EL14 battery or six AA batteries. This solution allows you to work more intensively and for longer without worrying about losing power at the least likely moment.

Improved ergonomics

Another important function of the grip is to improve comfort when shooting both vertically and horizontally. The specially designed shape and finish of durable and pleasant-to-the-touch plastic ensure a comfortable and reliable grip, so the camera sits perfectly in the hand.

Increased functionality

The grip provides quick access to the camera's main functions using ergonomically positioned buttons and dials.

The handle was equipped with:

  • handle on/off switch

  • two-stage shutter button - a light press of the button allows you to set the focus, when pressed all the way, the shutter is activated in the same way as the camera button itself (the information about the shutter release is transmitted via a cable attached to the side of the device, for people who do not use a vertical trigger or a remote control, no need to use a cable, the unit will act as a simple holder/battery compartment.)

  • the handle also comes with an IR remote that allows you to trigger the shutter remotely using infrared light

  • additional belt clip

  • 1/4" tripod thread - a mount that allows you to use a tripod without removing the grip from the camera

Full camera compatibility

The Newell grip is a rugged, all-round grip for the Nikon D5100 / D5200. It works with Nikon EN-EL14 batteries, Newell cells and third-party replacements, as well as AA/R6 batteries.
