Combining the best of STYLUS technologies, the pioneering OM-D series and D-SLR photography, the STYLUS 1 is a new breed of camera in a whole category of its own. Take the Electronic Viewfinder adapted from the OM-D E-M5 for instance, which gives you a field coverage of 100% and by that outperforms the field coverage of entry-level D-SLR cameras. Or the i.ZUIKO DIGITAL zoom lens with 10.7x magnification and a constant bright aperture of f/2.8. Plus the large (1/1.7'') BSI CMOS sensor, virtually unheard of in this class. These technological innovations are engineered into a remarkably compact body that is convenient to carry, whilst the zoom lens is designed with such ingenuity that it appears to disappear when retracted.

These technologies drive intelligent features that make sure you capture every moment just as you imagined it. iHS is also harnessed by the extra-large 12 MP back-illuminated CMOS sensor (1/1.7″), which makes full use of the i.ZUIKO DIGITAL lens with its state-of-the-art, Olympus-only precision – delivering excellent images in low light, with less noise and more detail in dark areas. Add to this the TruePic VI processor, which delivers super-fast focusing, high-speed sequential shooting and high-speed movies. With all this precise technology at your disposal, you can look forward to the remarkable image quality you expect from an exceptional high-end camera.
