Thanks to the meticulous attention given to every single detail, the Optio S1 is a stylish, beautifully designed camera, almost a fashion accessory. The Chrome model combines a high-quality aluminum-alloy housing with an unique mirror-finish plating.

The Optio S1 features a Shake Reduction mechanism, which effectively compensates for the camera shake which could cause blur images. It allows you to make sharp images even under demanding conditions.

Despite its compact dimensions, PENTAX Optio S1 features a 5x wide-angle optical zoom covering focal lengths from 28mm wide angle to 140mm telephoto (in 35mm format). From spectacular landscape to tightly framed snapshots taken from a distance, just catch every detail.

Combining 14 megapixels with a brand-new imaging process and a reliable Shake Reduction mechanism, the Optio S1 delivers brilliant, sharp and true-to-life pictures, even when enlarged to poster sizes.

Capture beautiful, flawless movies at 16:9 HD TV proportions (1280x720 pixels) thanks to the Optio S1, which even embedds an independent Movie REC button at back, in order to instantly start movie recording.
