Unwire your ceativity with WiFi
The DMC-GM5 offers WiFi connectivity for a more flexible shooting experience and easier image sharing. By simply scanning the QR code displayed on the camera monitor with a smartphone / tablet, you can change the smartphone / tablet into a remote controller for the camera. The new T (Time) function is great for slow shutter shots for things like fireworks or nightscapes.
Sharing images when browsing is also quicker thanks to a new direct uploading capability.

The large 16.00-megapixel Digital Live MOS Sensor achieves both high resolution and high sensitivity image recording with less noise. The Venus Engine features its advanced noise reduction systems which helps produce clear, smooth image especially for the nighttime scenery. The combination of the Live MOS Sensor and the Venus Engine achieves maximum ISO 25600.
The Contrast AF system of DMC-GM5 excels in both speed and accuracy by exchanging digital signals between the camera and the lens at a maximum 240 fps. The DMC-GM5 also offers high-speed burst shooting at 5.8 fps in 16.00-megapixel resolution and a maximum 40 fps with an electronic shutter.
Low Light AF
Low Light AF makes it possible to focus on your subject more precisely in -4EV low-light situations, which is as dark as a starry sky with no other light source.
Face / Eye Detection AF
In addition to the conventional Face Recognition AF, the DMC-GM5 incorporates Face / Eye Detection AF which automatically sets focus right on the face or eye in face.
