The FinePix S1 boasts a high-resolution (920000 dot) electronic view-finder, making it easier to frame subjects and check focus in bright daylight conditions.The bright EVF accommodates a traditional shooting style, making it easy to steady the camera, even when shooting with the 50× zoom fully extended.

Side lever & instant ''zoom-out button''
The camera features a side lever that allows you to smoothly operate the zoom lens.
At a flick it lets you zoom back out to see your full composition. This leaves your right had free to operate the shutter button.
There are two levels of Zoom speed that the user can select between. Subjects can be zoomed in quickly with zoom speed of 2 seconds in the high-speed mode.

One-touch WiFi sharing and remote smartphone control
The FinePix S1 allows you to share images wirelessly via PC, tablet or smartphone and to control your camera via smartphone with the free FUJIFILM Camera Remote app.
You can easily transfer images wirelessly from the FinePix S1 to your smartphone or tablet after installing the free FUJIFILM Camera Remote app. There are no troublesome ID and password settings; just press the Wi-Fi® button of the back of the camera and then add the images instantly to your blog or share them with friends on your social networking site. You can also use the FinePix S1's built-in Wi-Fi to save your photos to your PC.
Remote photography from smartphones is possible by using the wireless communication function. The shutter as well as zoom can be remotely operated.
In addition to occasions when taking photos of wild animals, photos can be taken from a remote location to avoid environments such as rainy days and days with strong winds that blow up dust.
It is a beneficial function that fulfills the water resistant and dust resistant function to the fullest.
