What is UV-C light?

High-energy radiation UV-C triggers photochemical reactions. Radiation with a wavelength of 253 nm is absorbed by the nucleic acids of the cell

and results in a dose-dependent killing or damage of bacteria and mycelial spores. Therefore, UV-C radiation is used for the deliberate elimination of microorganisms

(such as bacteria / viruses, yeasts and molds)
