How does the BRITA MAXTRA PRO Pure Performance filter work?

Filtration through the BRITA MAXTRA PRO Pure Performance is a 4-step process:

Super fine mesh: captures large particles from old water pipes, e.g. sand or rust.

Natural activated carbon beads, made from coconuts, ensure that chlorine and its derivatives, as well as trace pollutants such as herbicides, pesticides and pharmaceutical residues (if present in tap water) do not enter the filtered water.

Ion exchanger beads reduce metals, e.g. lead and copper, and soften the water.

Additional high-performance filter mesh provides 4x better dirt retention compared to the previous MAXTRA+ filter (30m particle size)
