How Does the BRITA MAXTRA PRO Pure Performance Filter Work?

The BRITA MAXTRA PRO Pure Performance filter provides a four-stage filtration process:

  1. Ultra-fine mesh captures large particles from old water pipes, such as sand or rust.
  2. Natural activated carbon pearls made from coconut shells prevent chlorine, chlorinated compounds, and trace contaminants, like herbicides, pesticides, and pharmaceuticals (if present in tap water), from reaching your water.
  3. Ion-exchange pearls reduce metals like lead and copper while softening the water.
  4. Additional high-efficiency mesh achieves four times better contaminant retention than the previous MAXTRA+ filter (particle size of 30 m).

Additionally, the PerfectFit mechanism ensures that all water is thoroughly filtered when using genuine BRITA cartridges.
