How Does the BRITA MAXTRA PRO Pure Performance Filter Work?

The BRITA MAXTRA PRO Pure Performance filter works through a four-stage filtration process:

  • Ultra-fine mesh captures large particles from old pipes, like sand or rust.
  • Natural activated carbon pearls made from coconut shells prevent chlorine and its derivatives, as well as trace contaminants like herbicides, pesticides, and pharmaceutical residues (if present in tap water) from reaching the filtered water.
  • Ion-exchange pearls reduce metals such as lead and copper and soften the water.
  • Additional high-efficiency mesh captures four times more impurities than the previous MAXTRA+ filter (particle size of 30 m).

The PerfectFit mechanism ensures that all water is filtered thoroughly when using genuine BRITA cartridges.
