Recording high quality movies that are always sharply focused is easy with Movie Servo AF. It uses an inner focus and STM stepping motor technology for silent continuous focusing in movie mode, so your movies are smooth with reduced blur.

Dynamic IS for smooth movies
Camera shake is not a problem when shooting movies handheld or if you’re walking to follow the action. The EF-M 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM uses Dynamic Image Stabilization in movie mode to counteract rolling motion as well as shake to ensure smooth footage.

Pin sharp images with 4-stop Image Stabilizer
The EF-M 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM delivers pin-sharp photographs even when shooting handheld in low light. The lens incorporates Canon’s four-stop Image Stabilizer technology, which reduces camera shake and allows you to capture superb low light images with no perceptible increase in image blur.

Fast Auto Focus in stills, full time manual override
Capturing the moment in beautiful photographs is easy thanks to a quick, high precision autofocus system, which delivers fast accurate and automatic focusing for stills shooting. Take control any time you want with a full-time manual override, which makes it possible to adjust focus without leaving AF mode.
