Samyang 35mm f/1.4 AS UMC on kiire, käsitsi teravustatav laia nurgaga objektiiv, mis on saadaval kõige populaarsematele DSLR- või peeglita süsteemkaameratele kuni 24x36 mm (täiskaader) sensoritega. Suurepärane objektiiv dokumentaalfotograafiale ja tänavafotograafiale, aga ka maastiku- või igapäevafotograafiale. APS-C sensoriga kaamera külge kinnitatuna muutub see kiireks normaalseks objektiiviks ja Micro Four Thirds sensoriga mudelitel (Olympus ja Panasonic) teleobjektiiviks, mis on ideaalne portreede jaoks. Lai ja sujuv käsitsi teravustamise rõngas tagab suurepärase käsitsemise ning 77 mm keere võimaldab filtrite kasutamist. Objektiiviga kaasas on ka eemaldatav varjuk, et vältida hajutatud valguse jõudmist esiläätsele. Optiline konstruktsioon Samyang 35mm f/1.4 AS UMC on kavandatud 12 elemendiga, mis on paigutatud 10 gruppi. Kaks elementi on valmistatud HR klaasist (kõrge refraktsiooniga), mis hoiab objektiivi suuruse ja kaalu mõistlikul tasemel, samal ajal tagades väga hea eraldusvõime. Asfääriline element on kasutatud sfäärilise aberratsiooni minimeerimiseks ja tagab kõrge teravuse kuni servadeni isegi suurte avadega. Lisaks on kasutatud nn ujuva objektiivi disaini, et tagada hea pildikvaliteet isegi lähivõtete korral (minimaalne teravustamiskaugus on 30 cm). Samyangi Ultra Multi Coating takistab peegeldusi ja kummitusi ning tagab, et pildid omavad alati maksimaalset kontrasti ja loomulikku värvide taasesitust. Automaatne avakontroll AE-versioonis AE tähistatud Samyang 35mm f/1.4 AS UMC versioonidel on varustatud mootoriga avakontrolli ja CPU kiibiga, mis võimaldab automaatset säritust (AE). See tähendab, et ava saab reguleerida kaamera abil. Lisaks pakub objektiivi need versioonid vaateotsija teravustamise näidu toetust, et hõlbustada käsitsi teravustamist. MÄRKUS: Objektiiv on saadaval kahe versioonina Canon EF kinnitusega. Üks versioon on AE-toega ja teine ilma (ainult EF tähistusega). Viimase puhul tuleb ava käsitsi juhtida objektiivil oleva mehaanilise rõnga abil. Nikonile mõeldud objektiivi versioon on saadaval ainult AE-toega. Muudele kinnitustele on saadaval ainult mehaaniline avakontroll.
