Przełącznik PoE TL-SF1008P posiada 8 portów RJ45 o prędkości 10/100 Mb/s, nie wymagających konfiguracji. 4 z nich (1-4) obsługują funkcję Power over Ethernet (PoE). Przełącznik automatycznie wykrywa urządzenia PD działające w standardzie IEEE 802.3af i zaopatruje je w energię. Pozwala to rozszerzyć zasięg sieci w miejscach, w których nie ma dostępu do gniazd lub linii zasilających, a gdzie istnieje potrzeba umieszczenia punktów dostępowych, kamer IP, telefonów IP, itp. Przełącznik posiada funkcję priorytetowania, dzięki której zabezpiecza system w momentach przeciążenia. Pobór mocy urządzeń zasilanych poprzez PoE wynosi do 57 W. Urządzenia podłączone do portów o wyższym priorytecie zasilane są w pierwszej kolejności.

Priorytety portów: port-1>port-2>port-3>port-4. Funkcja ta zabezpiecza system w momentach przeciążenia. Np. porty 1,2 i 4 pobierają po 15,4 W (maksymalna wartość dla portu wynosi 15,4 W), wówczas system wykorzystuje 46,2 W (dioda LED PoE zaświeci się na czerwono). Jeżeli do portu 3 podłączone zostanie urządzenie pobierające 12W, system odetnie zasilanie od portu 4. Port 1 i 2 będą więc zasilane 15,4 W, port 3 ? 12 W, natomiast port 4 zostanie odłączony od zasilania.

Przełącznik TL-SF1008P jest prosty w instalacji i obsłudze. Nie wymagana konfiguracja ani montażu. Dzięki niezawodności i zapewnieniu wysokiej jakości transmisji, 8 portowy przełącznik typu desktop TL-SF1008P z czterema portami PoE stanowi idealne rozwiązanie do rozbudowy domowej lub biurowej sieci.
