Esiteks saab teda kasutada kui tavalist andurit, mis annab märku ukse või akna avamisest, aga lisaks sellele on ta võimeline mõõtma ruumi temperatuuri ja selle kaudu juhtima kütet! Kui aga tuleb välja et mõni lüliti jäi ehituse käigus panemata, siis saab seinapealse lüliti ühendada antud anduriga, ning mure ongi lahendatud!
