Because an APC UPS does this automatically, you prevent unwanted failure of, for example, a PC, server or switch. With the free APC PowerChute software, you can even have critical IT hardware shut down automatically and in a controlled manner when the UPS battery is almost empty. This prevents data loss, downtime and physical damage to hardware.<br><br><b>Safety</b><br>In addition, a Smart-UPS protects connected devices against peak voltage caused by lightning, among other things. You can also automatically send a shutdown signal via the network to multiple physical and/or virtual servers. By means of the APC PowerChute Network Shutdown Software belonging to the network card, the shutdown moment and the order in which this happens can even be differentiated.<br><br><b>Ease of use</b><br>By means of physical buttons and an LCD screen it is possible to set and read the basic functionalities.<br><br><b>Battery life</b><br>You can easily read the expected battery life in the runtime graph, which you can find between the product images. This way you can easily see how long the UPS will supply emergency power at a certain load.<br><br><b>Mounting</b><br>The UPS is equipped with mounting brackets with which you can easily mount it to the front posts in a 19 inch rack, wall or patch cabinet due to its limited depth. This reduces the peak load on the UPS and brings it closer to the constant load, which can limit oversizing of the UPS.<br><br>It is also possible to reset a group of multiple UPS outputs and the equipment connected to them. If SmartConnect Advanced (ERWPLUS1-1Y-DIGI), a UPS with SmartConnect port + Ecostruxure IT Expert (SFTWES1-DIGI) or a network card (ap9640) in combination with Ecostruxure IT Expert (SFTWES1-DIGI) are used, this can even be done remotely.<br><br><br>This APC Smart-UPS is designed for IT professionals or network administrators to maintain business uptime and continuity. The 1000VA line interactive 2U short depth rackmount UPS provides pure sine wave power to support critical electronics during power disruptions. It comes with IEC 320 C14 input and 6x IEC 320 C13 outlets. This rackmount UPS is tower convertible with the mounting stabilizing feet (SMTL2USF sold separately). It offers cloud-based remote power monitoring, UPS firmware upgrades, remote diagnostics and proactive email notifications with recommended actions. It has a SmartSlot for optional Network Management Card that enables graceful shutdown of physical servers, virtual machines & HCI Clusters via PowerChute Network Shutdown. The UPS can connect to EcoStruxure IT or third-party centralized management platforms. It provides surge protection against lightning strikes, power sags, brownouts and surges.
