A powerful 12× zoom lens with 24× ZoomPlus lets you get really close to faraway subjects without losing sharpness or detail. With 25 mm ultra-wide angle you can fit more in the frame, perfect for capturing large groups and stunning scenery.

Using an advanced DIGIC 4+ processor and a 16 Megapixel back-illuminated CMOS sensor, HS System produces clear photos with the detail, colours and ambience of the scene, just as you experienced it.

Sharp shots with Intelligent IS
The optical Image Stabilizer is vital for capturing sharp images in low light or when using the full extent of the zoom. Featuring Canon’s Intelligent IS technology, the camera automatically selects the optimal Image Stabilizer mode from 8 options to ensure clear, detailed photos and movies.

Always stay connected
Show the world your latest images using Wi-Fi and NFC to connect the camera to your smartphone. Once connected, you can use the smartphone to add GPS locations to your images or to include yourself in the shot with the remote shooting function. Wi-Fi also allows you to connect with printers, PCs and other compatible devices for easy online sharing and backup.

Creative Shot
Originality is effortless with Creative Shot. Simply take a shot and the camera will analyse the scene and automatically generate five creative images plus the original unaltered photo - capturing the same subject in a variety of surprising and artistic ways. Select your filter category to create images using your preferred set of Creative Shot filters.

Expertise in your hands
Effortlessly point and shoot for great photos and movies thanks to Smart Auto, which detects the scene and selects perfect settings from 32 variables (21 in movies). Hybrid Auto lets you take photos with Smart Auto and also captures a 4 second movie clip before each shot – combining all of them into a fun HD (720p) movie.

Memorable movies
Record superb, FullHD (1080p) movies in MP4 format. Intelligent IS ensures steady movies even when you are walking or shooting from inside a moving car for truly spectacular footage. When you get home use the HDMI-CEC connection for viewing and controlling your movie playback on a compatible HDTV.
