The popular ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T* 24-70mm F2.8 zoom has been refined for even better performance. This lens is already widely regarded as being more like a prime lens than a zoom in terms of image quality, but this edition further reduces ghosting for a notable improvement in clarity. Lens processing has also been revised for faster subject tracking, and it is dust and moisture resistant.

Great results in low light
A bright constant F2.8 maximum aperture throughout the zoom range means consistent exposure settings at any focal length plus improved low-light capability.

Smooth, quiet SSM focusing
The SSM (Super Sonic wave Motor) drive system coupled with an internal focus mechanism achieves smooth, silent autofocus operation and fast response.

Focus mode switch and hold button
A focus mode switch and focus hold button on the barrel offer extra focusing versatility and control.
